Motormouth Maybelle is a central character on Hairspray, both 1988 and 2007 films. Is a R&B record producer and the mother of Seaweed and Little Inez. She also hosts Negro Day and chooses the songs the Negro Day Performers sing. It is possible she co-hosted the Corny Collin's Show after Velma's firing and the show's intergration.
